Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta

Uh oh... It's another Hourglass post! This time, I'm talking about the Ambient Lighting Blush wonder child of the darker skinned ladies, Radiant Magenta!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta ($35.00) which is described by Sephora as a "golden fuchsia" is a deep pink blush.

Like all of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes, the pigmentation on these is affected by the blend ration of the blush pigment versus the Ambient Lighting Powder it's mixed with, in this case, Radiant Light, the most suggested lighting powder for ladies of the darker complexion.

When buying, one must hunt for one with an adequate amount of pigment, such like this:

Feel free to ask your nicest Sephora associate to help you open them to find one with the most effective marbling for you, that's what I did (shout out to Vicky!) and exchanged my palette and got Diffused Heat in great blend patterns (to be seen in a later post).

This blush is really great for makeup lovers who love to layer. The first layer comes off very subtle, after that you can layer to your desired intensity. However, the product is a little powdery in the pan, so it's best to pick up color carefully, unless you don't care like me. I'll just use the powder in the second layer by stabbing my brush gently (lol stabbing gently) into the powder and applying. The color looks bright and lovely on my face and I think it'll be a great Springtime pink for me.

This is a light application, but as you see in the swatches, it could be pretty pigmented. Products: Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream for Eyes in Dark, Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow in Medium/Dark, Hourglass Film Noir Mascara in Onyx, Too Faced Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fuchsia, and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta.

I can understand that the intense color is why it's usually immediately suggested, but the other shades in this range are very very possible choices. Don't turn them down till you try them! Plus, dat packaging though.

Final Thoughts:
Quality: Beautiful color. A bit powdery so pick it up carefully. Very bright and beautiful when layered and quite a cute natural flush when applied lightly.
Wear time: Very nice, about 4+ hours, unless you touch your face a lot.
